    Lu Yong, a Sichuan peasant native, left his home town in 1991 and started his "factory worker's life" in Guangdong Province. He work3ed as a gemstone cutter in a Hong Kong-invested factory called Lucky Gems and Jewellery Ltd. In June 1997, the factory was relocated from Shenzhen to Huizhou.
