Asia Monitor Resource Centre (AMRC) is an independent non-government organization (NGO) which focuses on Asian labour concerns. Founded in 1976, AMRC has been leading the way in promoting workers¡¦ rights and democratic labour movements in Asia and the Pacific for over 25 years now.

 


 

Asian Network for the Rights of Occupational Accident Victims 

Description: 
ANROAV is a unique solidarity group, which works towards making Asian workplaces safe. Due to gross negligence of the OSH in the region the need to have a united front was essential. ANROAV combines the OSH rights struggle in different Asian countries into a one united struggle and demands better health and safety for the workers across the region.

 


 

China Labour Bulletin

China Labour Bulletin
Founded in 1994 in Hong Kong by independent trade unionist Han Dongfang, China Labour Bulletin (CLB) has been actively promoting independent, democratic union organizing, and the protection of labour rights and standards in mainland China.

All of CLB's activities are based on the principle of furthering and supporting Chinese workers to claim their labour rights and secure their livelihood.

The underlying foundation of our work is contained in ILO Conventions No.87 and 98, namely the right to freedom of association and the right to free collective bargaining.

「全球聯陣──勞工基層大聯盟」(原名「全球聯陣」)於03年5月正式成立,成員包括﹕基層發展中心、香港職工會聯盟、香港婦女勞工協會、街坊工友服務處、深水步社區協會、全球化監察、循道衛理觀塘社會服務處基層在職人士服務部、先驅社、工業傷亡權益社、基督徒學會、香港物業管理及保安職工總會、香港交通運輸業職工聯合會、建築地盤職工總會、成衣業、文職及零售業職工總會、基層大學、亞洲專訊資料研究中心、政府第一標準薪級員工總會、香港郵政局員工會、香港家務助理總工會、公教職工青年會、西貢區青年聯社、清潔服務業職工會、亞洲學生協會(Asian Students Association)、APMM(Asian Pacific Mission for Migrants)。目前尚在繼續招募團體和個人加入。
 


 

Globalization Monitor 

Description: 
Globalization Monitor is a non-profit organization based in Hong Kong. It was founded shortly before the big Seattle protest against the WTO in l999. Its editorial board members are activists from trade unions, the green movement, regional groups and grassroots organizations. It has been the chief organization in HK to dedicate itself to promoting awareness of the negative effects of globalization.

Description:

Jewelry Campaign 

Description:
Over 100 cases of silicosis related to Hong Kong owned jewelry factories have been reported since last year. Some of the workers have already died of the disease while those survive are carrying the disease to the final stage of severity!

 


 

Justice and Peace Commission of the Hong Kong Catholic Diocese 

Description:
To promote world justice and a Christian concern and brotherly love for the poor and afflicted, it was urged that a world organization be set up to assist in the development of the poorer nations. It is most timely that such a world body be formed. (Section 90) Two years later, Pope Paul VI officially proclaimed the institution of the Pontifical Commission for Justice and Peace. In 1977, the Justice and Peace Commission of Hong Kong Catholic Diocese was officially established.

 


 

Students and Scholars Against Corporate Misbehavior 

Description:
Students and Scholars Against Corporate Misbehavior (SACOM) is a non-government organization (NGO) based in Hong Kong, China, founded in June 2005 by students, and later joined by other cultural and labor activists. SACOM¡¦s main goal is to monitor and campaign against corporate misbehavior that violates worker¡¦s rights, health, safety, welfare, and dignity in China.
